This has been the most difficult challenge I have ever encountered. I struggled to write this below. Should the cheek be turned, or should one stand for the good of one’s name. We need to obtain 340,000 signatures in MI to bypass the Governor’s desk where babies’ lives will be saved. It is so disgusting to see the disunity caused by RTL. These challenges should be expected because of the spiritual fight against the shedding of innocent blood. We are being opposed by the Governor/Attorney General of MI; Planned Parenthood; Witchcraft; Jezebel Spirits and MI Right to Life.
DISUNITY IN THE LIFE MOVEMENT IN MI – HOW DOES ONE RESPOND?
I have struggled on how to respond to what I see as misinformation. RTL in MI had launched what I call a “Pearl Harbor” assault last May to oppose our Heartbeat Bill with false allegations. They will see the foundation of these falsehoods fall to the ground. We are going to the grassroots and all is beginning to turn in our favor. The MI Heartbeat Coalition (MHC) has attempted on a number of occasions to create unity…but were rejected. This last week we see new communications were sent out encouraging people to not sign the Heartbeat petition; radio ads against us; and it was reported Heartbeat signed petitions were destroyed (Felony).
Why…a Heartbeat detected is a baby protected.
IMPORTANT: As this is being written we have always indicated to support all pro-life legislation – for the sake of unity. 25 states are in process of Heartbeat Initiatives moving across America. Nine have passed it and 2 more will soon be on board. Michigan is on its way with your help. Texas, Florida and Hawaii are beginning. We have over 30 co-sponsors in the House and more than needed in the Senate
POINTS TO PONDER
*RTL has opposed Heartbeat in every state in the nation except one – IOWA – largest RTL donor in Iowa said support it or else and they did – Hmmm!
*RTL…stated that if they do not author it – do not support it…Hmmm! Legislators have told us this. Is there money, power and control at work.
*RTL…has contacted many of our endorsers to turn on us such as Dr. James Dobson. He saw through the false information and supports us!
*RTL sites an old life laws in 1846 and 1941 where they claim life begins at conception even though the word “Quickening” is stated in the 1846 law. What is quickening? It is when a mother feels movement. So what did MHC do? We sought the counsel and received protective clause(s) given to us by one of the most prestigious law firms in the U.S. – American Center for Law and Justice. Walter Weber/Jay Sekulow who are fighters for life and stand against Planned Parenthood. *RTL…says we have the best pro-life laws on the books so we do not need Heartbeat . How many babies are you willing to sacrifice until Roe is overturned. Will it be 2 years or 5 years knowing in MI there is near 26,500 abortions a year. We must save them now!
*RTL…says MI has the strongest pro-life law in books. NO – Arkansas and Mississippi does and they passed the Heartbeat Bill. Then why pass Dismemberment if we have laws on the books? Doublespeak? – Hmmm!
*RTL…I wonder if the Dismemberment Bill of RTL has protective clauses in it! If they do why are ours inferior?
*RTL…Did you know the Dismemberment Bill “PROTECTS” suction abortion (HB 4320) – focus of movie UNPLANNED.
*RTL…Dismemberment only comprises 7.1% of MI Abortions in 2018. Doctors will switch to Saline. Suction is the main non-chemical abortion method used. Why protect it? So how many babies would be saved by dismemberment if doctors will switch. NONE! Heartbeat saves many lives.
*RTL…states the Supreme Court is not ready for Heartbeat. They already rejected Dismemberment so why waste time and money on this. The detectable heartbeat is the marker of viability (Carhart vs Gonzales and 8th Circuit Court).
*RTL…claims this is an out of state movement. All of our board members are from MI.
*RTL…believes in incrementalism while Heartbeat desires to end abortion not regulate it. Incrementalism is a great fundraiser…think about it!
*RTL…has very well-paid staff with perks – Heartbeat workers have no salaries and are volunteers as we have passion to end abortion.
