The Importance of Blood

As I read through the Old Testament about the various Kings who ruled, it never ceases to amaze me that God’s blessings and curses came as a result of governmental decisions.  Whenever a King would not tear down the altars of Baal or Moloch there was a consequence.  The consequence was even greater when they erected them and innocent blood was shed through the sacrifice of innocent children.

Never think today we do not have these sacrificial altars on our land today that is government supported (Planned Parenthood and Abortion Clinics).  Never allow yourself to think – “Oh that is the Old Testament and doesn’t apply today”.  Anytime innocent blood is shed God takes notice as the land cries out from the shedding of innocent blood (Genesis 4 and 9).  God who is a just God must respond.  Yes, He is merciful and long suffering, but what about 54 million aborted babies in America?  How long can He stay His hand or has the process of judgment began in America?  Was it a coincidence when Dave Wilkerson died last month the storms across America began.  He always warned of impending judgments.

The sad news is that many believe that taking the life of the unborn is some personally protected choice of a woman and we have no right to tamper with this so called freedom.  This so called freedom of choice is thrusting our nation into a bondage of untold proportions.

Many say I do not agree with abortion, but must allow this choice in the killing fields of abortion clinics.  What about Pilate when he tried  to wash his hands of the innocent blood of Christ.  He was guilty and no washing could change that.  He made a governmental decision which brought forth a communal guilt upon the land and later destruction of his city. The pressure of the masses upon Pilate to give them Barnabas is no different today in America by screams of the pro-abortion crowd.

Who will rise up for righteousness sake?
